Scorpion Halloween Solitaire

"Eye of newt and toe of frog, wool of bat and tongue of dog!" As you attempt to win a hand of Halloween Scorpion Solitaire, you'll feel as though a witch has cast a spell on you! Break the spell by winning this challenging card game! The goal of Scorpion Solitaire is to move all of the cards from the tableau to the right side of the board.

Unlike Klondike Solitaire where cards need to be played downward in alternating colors, with Scorpion, suit doesn't matter. You may click on any card and move it on top of another column. Those two cards must be in sequential order. However, if the card you move has other cards on top of it, those cards will stay attached but don't necessarily need to be sequential. For example, column one has a 10. Column three has: Q, 7, 9, 8, 4, J. You can click on the 9 and move it to the 10, and 8, 4, J will stay attached to the 9. When a column becomes empty, move a King into the space. Scorpion has just one stock card, so be choosy as when to use it.

"Under a charm of powerful trouble, like a stew boil and bubble!" Keep playing Halloween Scorpion Solitaire long enough and you'll make the wicked witch melt away! Once you're able to form four columns from King to Ace, regardless of suit, you've won. Good luck!

Scorpion Solitaire Strategy

  • Build four columns of cards in K-A order.
  • More than one card can be moved from one column to another.
  • Try to avoid putting an Ace as the top card until all cards are flipped over.
  • Only Kings can be placed in empty columns.
